David Francisco

David Francisco grew up in Southern California and came to the Reformed faith while in college at the University of San Diego. He met his wife Julie in college and have been married for 26 years. Living in Oceanside, California they are raising five children (ages 22, 21, 17, 15, and 14). One unique thing about the Francisco family is that they have two children with Down Syndrome. Their third child, Andrew, was born with Down Syndrome and they later adopted their youngest child from an orphanage in Ukraine who also has Down Syndrome.

After college, David attended Westminster Theological Seminary where he obtained a degree in Counseling Studies, to ensure a solid Biblical foundation towards a career in counseling. A few years after graduating from Westminster, he was ordained as an elder at Oceanside URC, San Diego County, where he oversaw a church plant on the island of Kauai for a number of years. Oceanside URC also began a church plant in the South Orange County area of Southern California. He joined that work, now Trinity OPC, to serve as an elder when the church plant moved into the OPC around 2012.
